Botox® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is one of the most popular wrinkle treatments in the country. With just a few quick injections into the targeted area, BOTOX® Cosmetic improves frown lines, crow’s feet, and deep wrinkles and furrows.

Prominent wrinkles and folds are caused by the contractions of underlying facial muscles. BOTOX® Cosmetic blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles so they can no longer contract. The effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic last up to four months.

Filling Agents

Radiesse® is a dermal filler that goes beyond filling and correcting facial wrinkles and folds, it can restore facial volume.  Radiesse® stimulates the body to produce new collagen and provides natural looking, long lasting results.  Radiesse® is the only filler that stimulates new collagen production with calcium-based microsphere technology.  Radiesse® is FDA approved and provides both immediate and natural looking results that may last a year or more in many patients.

Restylane® is a cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume to the face and reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds. Unlike other dermal fillers, Restylane® is derived from a substance that is naturally found in the human body and contains no animal proteins, thus reducing the risk of complications.

To begin treatment, Restylane® is injected into the targeted areas with an ultra fine needle, providing an instantaneous improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and folds. It is normal to experience some redness and swelling after the treatment, but these side effects usually subside within a week. The results of Restylane® generally last for six months.

Perlane® is a dermal filler made entirely of hyaluronic acid, and is administered as a crystal clear gel.  It is a non animal product that’s compatible with the human body’s natural levels of hyaluronic acid and can help improve skin’s resilience while it fills in skin indentations and gets rid of wrinkles.  One of the biggest benefits of Perlane is the way it molds with the natural contours of the face; the dermal filler fits naturally under the skin’s surface and enhances soft tissue volume to create a ‘fuller’ appearance.

Perlane® can be used on several areas of the face including the forehead, under the eyes, the chin and also for lip augmentation.  Since it is denser than other injectables on the market, Perlane® creates a smooth and soft appearance; the contours of the fact tend to look more natural than other skin rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments.

Juvederm® Ultra and Ultra Plus
Juvederm® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid which is injected under the skin to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or nasolabial folds (the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth.  Juvederm® provides a smooth, natural look and feel.

Juvederm® is indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

You should see immediate improvement in the treatment areas.  Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing.  And one treatment could smooth your lines and wrinkles for up to 1 year.  However, results may vary and correction is temporary.

Chemical Peels

“Chemical Peel” is a general classification for a number of chemical treatments used to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin.  Typically during a chemical peel nothing actually “peels” off.  A chemical solution is applied to the skin, and works by dissolving the upper layers of the skin.  As the tissue is dissolved, a wound is created on the skin which stimulates the body’s healing response, causing new tissue to emerge.  The depth and strength of the peel varies based upon the strength of the chemicals used and the length of time the solution is applied.  With a chemical peel you get some tightening of the skin, you get improvements of pre-cancerous and brown spots, and a general resurfacing of the skin.

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical outpatient procedure designed to diminish the appearance of spider veins and smaller, superficial varicose veins.  Sclerotherapy is minimally invasive, only involving a micro-needle for the injection of a solution, causing unwanted veins to fade or disappear.  Appropriate candidates for sclerotherapy are those individuals who have spider or varicose veins and the desire to change their appearance. The ideal candidates are non-smokers who are physically healthy and psychologically stable. Since it is not known whether the sclerosing solution affects breast milk, pregnant women should avoid sclerotherapy. Individuals with a blood-borne disease or condition affecting the vascular system should not have sclerotherapy. Laser vein removal or vein removal surgery may be more appropriate depending on the severity of your vein condition and other factors affecting your health.

Unfortunately, aesthetic/cosmetic procedures are not considered “medically necessary” by most insurance companies, and therefore fees must be paid at the time of service.  Please fill out our Cosmetic Interest Questionnaire and provide to our office at time of visit.  This will help us understand your needs.
